As the leading provider of bariatric surgery marketing and patient management solutions worldwide, SOURCiS was proud to participate in the prestigious ObesityWeek® Congress. This annual event, a collaboration between the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and The Obesity Society (TOS), took place in Washington, DC, at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center.
A Commitment to Innovation in Bariatric Care
On October 30, 2017, Ron Elli, Ph.D., Founder and CEO of SOURCiS, Inc., traveled to Washington, DC, to attend this highly anticipated event. Accompanied by members of the SOURCiS team, Dr. Elli immersed himself in a series of educational sessions led by globally recognized experts in obesity and its surgical treatments.
These sessions provided valuable insights into the latest advancements in bariatric care, ensuring SOURCiS remains at the forefront of innovation in this critical field.
Exploring Industry-Leading Innovations
In addition to attending educational sessions, Dr. Elli and his team explored showcases presented by some of the industry’s most prominent organizations. Companies such as Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices, Medtronic, Novo Nordisk, Apollo Endosurgery, UNJURY Protein, and OPURITY Vitamins showcased cutting-edge products and solutions designed to improve patient outcomes.
These interactions strengthened SOURCiS’s commitment to leveraging the best tools and technologies available to support bariatric surgeons and their patients worldwide.
The Importance of Global Collaboration
Attending events like ObesityWeek® and other international conferences such as IFSO underscores SOURCiS’s dedication to staying on the cutting edge of bariatric surgery advancements. These gatherings provide an invaluable platform for collaboration, learning, and innovation, ensuring surgical teams and staff have the latest knowledge and tools to deliver exceptional care.
Looking Ahead: Adapting to Challenges
While the COVID-19 pandemic has reshaped how the healthcare industry connects and collaborates, SOURCiS remains committed to its mission. Due to ongoing health concerns, no ASMBS in-person meeting in Atlanta will be held in November 2020. However, plans are already underway for the next ObesityWeek® Annual Meeting, scheduled for May/June 2021.
As we navigate these unprecedented times, SOURCiS continues to adapt and innovate—ensuring that bariatric surgeons and their patients have access to the resources they need for success.
